Balanced frame and barrel Ensure easy handling and better readability Ratchet thimble The ratchet thimble allows precise application of pressure on the object being measured. The measuring pressure on the spindle is audible and constant. Carbide measuring surfaces The spindle and anvil have carbide-tipped, flat measuring surfaces to protect the micrometer from wear. Accuracy to 0.0001″ Our micrometers produce measurements with a precision of 0.0001″ using the vernier sleeve. Accessories When not in use, store your micrometer in the included protective case to protect from collisions and debris. Use the calibration standards and spanner to calibrate the micrometer appropriately. Standards are provided for micrometers larger than 1″. Thermal protection cover When precision is key, you need an cast steel frame that does not expand or retract due to changes in temperature. You’ll always get the right measurement, when you want it. Laser-etched graduations The graduation markings on all scales are etched by lasers, creating ultimate resistance to wear from prolonged use. Satin chrome finish Our micrometer’s barrels are finished with satin chrome plating for a sleek, professional surface. Spindles are stainless steel capped with carbide tips and frame is made of powder coated cast steel.
